٣٨٨٧- أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن هبه الله بن عبد الله ابن السيبي، أبو البركات: [١] سمع أبا الحسين بن النقور، وأبا محمد الصريفيني، وأبا القاسم ابن البسري، وغيرهم. وحدث عنهم وروى عنه الخليفة المقتفي، وكان يعلم أولاد المستظهر، فأنس بالمسترشد، فلما صارت الخلافة إليه وقبض على ابن الخرزي رد إلى هذا الرجل النظر في المخزن، فولى ذلك سنة وثمانية أشهر، وكان كثير الصدقة متعهدا لأهل العلم، وخلف مالا حزر بمائة ألف دينار، وأوصى بثلثي ماله، ووقف وقوفا على مكة والمدينة. ومات عن ست وخمسين سنة وثلاثة أشهر، وصلى عليه بالمقصورة في جامع القصر الوزير أبو على بن صدقة، وأرباب الدولة، ودفن عند جده أبى الحسن القاضي بباب حرب.
