    ٣٢٥٤- الحسين بن علي بن محمد بن جعفر، أبو عبد الله الصيمري [٢] : منسوب إلى نهر من أنهار البصرة يقال له الصيمر عليه عدة قرى. ولد سنة إحدى وخمسين [وثلاثمائة] [٣] وكان أحد الفقهاء المذكورين من العراقيين حسن العبارة جيد النظر ولى قضاء المدائن ثم ولي القضاء بربع الكرخ وحدث عن أبي بكر المفيد وابن شاذان وعن ابن شاهين وغيرهم وكان صدوقا وافر العقل جميل المعاشرة عارفا بحقوق العلماء وتوفي في شوال هذه السنة ودفن في داره بدرب الزرادين.
