٣١١٠- علي [٥] بن هلال، أبو الحسن [المعروف بابن] [٦] البواب صاحب الخط [٧] الحسن: صحب ابن سمعون، وكان يقص بجامع المدينة، وبلغنا أن أبا الحسن البتي دخل دار فخر الملك أبي غالب، فوجد ابن البواب جالسا في عتبة باب ينتظر خروج فخر الملك، فقال جلوس الأستاذ في العتب رعاية للنسب، فجرد ابن البواب وقال: لو أن إلي من أمر الدنيا شيئا ما مكنت مثلك في الدخول، فقال البتي: ما تترك صنعة الشيخ ﵀. توفي الأستاذ أبو الحسن يوم السبت ثاني جمادى الآخرة من هذه السنة، ودفن بمقبرة باب حرب ورثي بأبيات منها:فللقلوب التي أبهجتها حزن ... وللعيون التي أقررتها سهر وما لعيش وقد ودعته أرج ... ولا لليل وقد فارقته سحر [١]
