ثم دخلت سنة خمس وتسعين وثلاثمائة فمن الحوادث فيها [١] : أنه ورد في ليلة الخميس لسبع بقين من المحرم أوائل الحاج من مكة بعد أن إعتاقهم ابن الجراح الطائي في طريقهم/ ولزمهم تسعة آلاف دينار مضافة إلى رسم الأصيفر الذي يقوم به بدر بن حسنويه، وقد سبق ذكر ذلك. وفي هذه السنة: حج [٢] بالناس جعفر بن شعيب السلار، ولحقهم عطش في طريقهم، فهلك خلق كثير، ولحق قوم منهم الحج.
