٢٩٤٢- نوح [٨] بن منصور بن نوح بن نصر بن أحمد بن إسماعيل، أبو القاسم [٩] الساماني: كان ملك خراسان وغزنة وما وراء النهر ولى وله ثلاثة عشر سنة، [فبقى واليا إحدى وعشرين سنة] [١٠] وتسعة أشهر، وتوفى في رجب هذه السنة، فولى بعده ابنه أبو الحارث منصور، فبقى سنة وتسعة أشهر، ثم قبض عليه خواصه وأجلسوا أخاه عبد الملك، فقصدهم محمود بن سبكتكين، فكسرهم وهربوا منه إلى بخارى، ثم أتاهم أيلك مظهرا لنصرتهم، فقبض عليهم وعلى جميع السامانية في سنة تسع وثمانين، وأنقرض ملكهم، وكان ملكهم مائة سنة وسنتين وشهورا.
