٢٥٢٥- محمد القاهر باللَّه [أمير المؤمنين] [٦] ، ابن أحمد المعتضد باللَّه [٧] . ولي الخلافة سنة وستة أشهر/ وسبعة أيام، وكان بطاشا فخافه كل أحد، حذر منه [٨] وزيره أبو علي بن مقله فاستتر، وأغرى الجند به فخلعوه وسملوا عينيه، ثم خرج من دار السلطان في سنة ثلاث وثلاثين إلى دار ابن طاهر، وتوفي في جمادى الآخرة [٩] من هذه السنة، ودفن إلى جنب أبيه المعتضد في خلافة المطيع، وكان عمره اثنتين وخمسين سنة.
