٢٥١٣- علي بن حمشاذ [٦] بن سختويه [٧] بن نصر، أبو الحسن المعدل [٨] : محدث عصره بنيسابور، سافر البلدان، وسمع [٩] وأكثر عن إسماعيل القاضي وطبقته، وكان كثير الحديث والتصانيف، شديد الإتقان، وجمع «المسند الكبير» في أربعمائة جزء و «الأنوار» مائتين وستين جزءا، و «التفسير» مائتين وثلاثين جزءًا [١٠] وكان أبو بكر بن إسحاق يقول: صحبت علي بن حمشاذ [١١] في السفر والحضر، فما أعلم أن الملائكة كتبت عليه خطيئة، وكان لا يترك قيام الليل، وتوفي في يوم الجمعة رابع عشر شوال من هذه السنة فجأة، دخل الحمام يوم الجمعة فمات فيه من غير مرض.
