٢٤٨٤- عبد الرحمن بن أحمد بن عبد الله، أبو عبد الله الختلي [١] : سمع أبا العباس البرتي، والباغندي، وابن أبي الدنيا. روى عنه الدارقطني، وكان فهما عارفا ثقة حافظا، انتقل إلى البصرة فسكنها. أخبرنا [أبو منصور] [٢] القزاز، قال: أخبرنا أحمد بن علي قال: أخبرني علي بن المحسن قال: أخبرني أبي قال: دخل إلينا أبو عبد الله الختلي إلى البصرة صاحب حديث، وكان مشهورا بالحفظ، فجاء [٣] وليس معه شيء من كتبه، فحدث شهورا إلى أن لحقته كتبه، فسمعته يقول: حدثت/ بخمسين ألف حديث من حفظي إلى أن لحقتني كتبي.
