١٩٥٦- العباس بن حمزة بن عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أشرس، أبو الفضل الواعظ النيسابوري [٦] . سمع قتيبة بن سعيد، وأحمد بن حنبل، وعبيد الله بن عمر القواريري، وغيرهم. وصحب أَحْمَد بن أَبِي الحوارى. ودخل على ذي النون وكان شديد الاجتهاد يصوم النهار ويقوم الليل، وكان يقول: لقد لحقتني بركة ذي النون، وكان مجاب الدعوة، وسئل عن الزهد فقال: ترك ما يشغلك عن الله [تعالى] [٧] أخذه واخذ ما يبعدك [٨] عن الله تركه.توفي العباس [١] في ربيع الأول من هذه السنة.
