١٤٢٣- عثمان بن محمد بن إبراهيم بن عثمان، أبو الحسن العبسيّ الكوفي، المعروف بابن أبي شيبة [٣] . أخو أبي بكر، وهو الأكبر. وقال يعقوب بْن شيبة: عثمَان [٤] بْن أبي شيبة من ولد أبي سعدة الذي دعا عَلَيْهِ سعد بْن أبي وَقَّاص. رحل عثمَان إِلَى البلاد وكتب الكثير، وصنّف «المسند» و «التفسير» ، وحدث عن شريك بْن عبد الله، وسفيان بْن عيينة، وهشيم وخلق كثير. روى عنه: الباغندي، والبغوي وغيرهمَا، وَكَانَ ثقة. توفي فِي [محرم] [٥] هَذِهِ السنة.
