١٣٣٩- محمد بْن سعد بْن منيع، أبو عبد الله مولى بني هاشم، كاتب الواقدي [١٢] .سمع سفيان بن عيينة، وإسماعيل بن عليه ويزيد بْن هارون، وخلقا كثيرا [١] ، وصنف كتاب «الطبقات» فذكر الصحابة والتابعين ومن بعدهم إِلَى زمَانه، وَكَانَ كثير العلم، كثير الحديث، كثير الرواية، كثير الكتب، من الثقات. وتوفي في هذه السنة، ودفن فِي مقبرة باب الشام، وَهُوَ ابْن اثنتين وستين سنة.
