١١١٣- عمرو بن شعيب [٤] أبو داود الجعفري، وجفر موضع. أخبرنا ابن ناصر قال: أنبأنا الحسن بن أحمد قَالَ: أخبرنا أبو محمد الخلال قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر أَحْمَد بن مُحَمَّد بن غالب قَالَ: قرأت على أبي بكر محمد بن أحمد بن جعفر القاضي، حدثكم محمد بن العباس المستملي قَالَ: حدثنا أبو بكر/ المروزي قَالَ: سمعت أحمد بن حنبل يَقُولُ: رأيت أبا داود الجفري وعليه جبة مخرقة قد خرج القطن منها يصلي بين المغرب والعشاء وهو يترجج من الجوع، وبلغني عن عباس الدُّوري [٥] قَالَ: لو رأيت أبا داود لرأيت رجلا كأنه أطلع على النار فرأى ما فيها. أسند أبو داود عن الثوري وغيره. وتوفي في هذه السنة.
