٧٩٧- كهمس بْن الْحَسَن، أَبُو عَبْد اللَّه القيسي. كَانَ متعبدا ورعا، يصلي كل يوم وليلة ألف ركعة، ويقول لنفسه: قومي يا مأوى كل سوء، فو الله مَا رضيتك للَّه ساعة قط. عَنْ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَد بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ: حدثني أَحْمَد بْن إِبْرَاهِيم قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مؤمل بْن إِسْمَاعِيل قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عمارة بْن زادان قَالَ: قَالَ لي كهمس: يا أبا سلمة، أذنبت ذنبا، فأنا أبكي عليه أربعين سنة. قلت: مَا هو يا أبا عَبْد اللَّه؟ قَالَ: زارني أخ لي فاشتريت لَهُ سمكا بدانق، فلما أكل قمت إِلَى حائط جار لي، فأخذت منه قطعة طين فغسل بها يده، فأنا أبكي عليه منذ أربعين سنة.
