ثم دخلت سنة ثمان ومائة فمن الحوادث فيها غزوة مسلمة بن عبد الملك حتى بلغ قيسارية ففتحها الله على يديه. وفيها: غزا إبراهيم بن هشام ففتح حصنا من حصون الروم. وفيها: وقع حريق بدابق حتى احترق الرجال والدواب. وفيها: حج بالناس إبراهيم بن هشام وهو الأمير على مكة والمدينة والطائف.
