٥٤١- طلحة بن عبد الله بن عوف [ابن أخي عبد الرحمن بن عوف] يكنى أبا محمد: [٣] ولي المدينة، وكان من سراة [٤] قريش وأجوادهم، ومدحه الفرزدق ومدح عشرة من أهل المدينة، فأعطاه طلحة ألف دينار، فلم يتجاسر أحد على نقيصة الفرزدق لئلا يتعرضوا للسانه فأتعب الناس. وتوفي طلحة في هذه السنة عن اثنتين وسبعين [٥] سنة.
