٤٩٧- عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن الحارث، أبو المصبح، وهو أعشى همدان [١] : شاعر فصيح، كوفي، من شعراء بني أمية، وكان/ زوج أخت الشعبي، والشعبي زوج أخته. وكان أحد القراء الفقهاء ثم ترك ذلك وقال الشعر، ورأى في المنام أنه دخل بيتا فيه حنطة وشعير، فقيل له: خذ أيهما شئت، فأخذ الشعير، فقال له الشعبي: إن صدقت رؤياك تركت القرآن وقلت الشعر، فكان كذلك. وخرج مع الأشعث فأخذه الحجاج فقتله صبرا.
