٣١٢- الأشعث بن قيس بن معديكرب بن معاوية بن جبلة بن عدي بن ربيعة، أبو مُحَمَّد [٣] : قدم على رسول الله ﷺ فِي وفد كندة، ثم رجع إلى اليمن، فلما قبض رَسُول اللَّهِ ﷺ ارتد فأخذ وحمل إلى أبي بكر الصديق ﵁ مقيدا، فأسلم ومن عليه وزوجه أخته.وروى عن رسول الله ﷺ، وشهد مع سعد قتال الفرس بالعراق، وكان على راية كندة بصفين مع علي ﵁، وحضر قتال الخوارج بالنهروان، وورد المدائن ثم عاد إلى الكوفة فأقام بها حتى مات فِي الوقت الذي صالح فيه الحسن معاوية، وتوفي ابن ثلاث وستين سنة.
