[بعث العلاء بن الحضرمي إلى المنذر بن ساوي بالبحرين يدعوه إلى الإِسْلام] [١] أن رسول الله ﷺ لما انصرف من الجعرانة بعث العلاء بن الحضرمي إلى المنذر بن ساوي العبدي وهو بالبحرين يدعوه إلى الإسلام، وكتب له كتابا، فكتب إلى رسول الله ﷺ بإسلامه: إني قد قرأت كتابك على أهل هجر، فمنهم من أعجبه الإسلام ودخل فيه ومنهم من كرهه، وما رضي يهود ومجوس، فأحدث إلي في ذلك أمرك. فكتب إليه رسول الله ﷺ: «إنك مهما تصلح فلن نعزلك عن عملك، ومن أقام على يهودية أو مجوسية فعليه الجزية» .ومن الحوادث
