سرية ابن أبي العوجاء إلى بني سليم في ذي الحجة [٢] . وذلك أن رسول الله ﷺ بعث ابن أبي العوجاء السلمي في خمسين رجلا إلى بني سليم، فخرج وتقدمه عين لهم كان معه فحذرهم فجمعوا، فأتاهم وهم معدون له، فدعاهم إلى الإسلام، فأبوا فتراموا بالنبل، وأصيب ابن أبي العوجاء جريحا، وقدموا المدينة في أول يوم من صفر سنة ثمان] .
