ومن الحوادث تزوج الخليل بَعْد سارة [٢] قَالَ ابْن إِسْحَاق: لما ماتت سارة تزوج بعدها من الكنعانيين من العرب العاربة، واسمها قنطورا بنت يقطان. ويقال: بنت مقطور، وَقَدْ قَالَ حذيفة: يوشك بنو قنطورا أَن يخرجوا أَهْل البصرة منها. قَالَ شيخنا أَبُو مَنْصُور اللغوي: يقال أَن قنطورا كانت جارية لإبراهيم، فولدت لَهُ أولادا، والترك من نسلها. قَالَ ابْن إِسْحَاق: ولدت لَهُ قنطورا ستة نفر: مِنْهُم مدين وأولاده الَّذِينَ أرسل إليهم شُعَيْب. وقيل: تزوج أُخْرَى اسمها حجون [٣] ، فولدت لَهُ خمس بنين.
