    (٤٠٢) الحارث بن ربعي بن بلدمة أبو قتادة الأنصاري السلمى، من بني غنم بن كعب بن سلمة بن زيد بن جشم بن الخزرج، هكذا يقول ابن شهاب وجماعة من أهل الحديث، إن اسم أبى قتادة الحارث بن ربعي. قال ابن إسحاق: وأهله يقولون اسمه النعمان بن عمرو بن بلدمة. قال أبو عمر ﵁: يقولون بلدمة بالفتح، وبلدمة بالضم، وبلذمة بالذال المنقوطة، والضم أيضا، يقال لأبى قتادة فارس رسول الله، وروينا عن النبي ﷺ، أنه قال: خير فرساننا أبو قتادة، وخير رجالتنا سلمة بن الأكوع. قيل: توفى أبو قتادة بالمدينة سنة أربع وخمسين، والصحيح أنه توفى بالكوفة في خلافة علي ﵁، وهو [الذي] (¬١) صلى عليه، وقد ذكرناه في الكنى، لأنه ممن غلبت عليه كنيته.
