أَبُو حاتِم الإِباضِي (٠٠٠ - ١٥٥ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٧٢ م) يعقوب بن حبيب الكندي بالولاء، أَبُو حاتِم الإباضي: من كبار الثوار في إفريقية. خرج في جمع كبير من البربر في طرابلس الغرب جعلوا أمرهم إليه (سنة ١٥١ هـ وكان شجاعا، فهزم جيوش عمر بن حفص (أمير إفريقية) وحصر القيروان، وفيها عمر بن حفص، فقاتله عمر حتى قتل. واستمر أبو حاتم يغزو ويقتل معتصما بجبل نفوسة (على ثلاث مراحل من طرابلس الغرب إلى الجنوب) إلى أن سير المنصور العباسي لقتاله وقتال غيره ممن خرجوا على الدولة في إفريقية، ستين ألف فارس بقيادة يزيد بن حاتم، فقتله يزيد (٢) .
