    ابن السَّكْسَك (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) يعفر بن السكسك بن وائل بن حمير: من ملوك الدولة الحميرية في اليمن. جاهلي قديم. تولى بعد وفاة أبيه، وكان صغير السن عليلا، فقوي الطامعون بالأقاليم، وانتقض ملكه. ولماشعر بالموت ولم يكن له ولد قال لقومه: هذا تاجكم فخذوه. فأخذ قومه التاج فوضعوه على بطن امرأته وكانت حاملا، فملّكوا من في بطنها، فولدت غلاما سُمى النعمان، فقالوا: كان النعمان ملكا في بطن أمه (١) .
