    ابن الكَرْماني (٧٦٢ - ٨٣٣ هـ = ١٣٦١ - ١٤٣٠ م) يحيى بن محمد بن يوسف السَّعيدى، تقي الدين ابن الكرماني: باحث، له علم بالطب والحديث. قال المقريزي: كان فاضلا في عدة فنون. نسبته الأولى إلى" سعيد بن زيد " أحد الصحابة العشرة. وأصله من كرمان، ومولده ببغداد. ووفاته بالقاهرة. ولي بها نظر المرستان المنصوري. له كتاب في " الطب " لعله " المختصر من خواص أبي العلاء ابنزهر - خ " أتمه في صفد سنة ٨١٠ و " مختصر صحيح مسلم " في الحديث، و " مختصر تاريخ مكة للأزرقي - خ " و " مجمع البحرين وجواهر الحبرين " في شرح البخاري. ثمانية أجزاء كبار،رآه حاجي خليفة، بخطه، و " المختصر في أخبار مصر " وله نظم ونثر (١) .
