    وائل بن حِمْيَر (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) وائل بن حمير بن سبإ: من ملوك اليمن في الجاهلية. صار إليه الملك بعد أبيه بصنعاء، ونزل قصر غمدان، ونقش فيه شعرا بالخط الحميري. وكانت أيامه قلقة، نافسه أخوه. " مالك ". وتغلب على أطراف بلاده، في اليمن. عدة ملوك. وكان على أرض بابل " حسان بن حراش " وعلى الشام ملوك آخرون. واستمر إلى أن مات (١) .
