    هزيز بن شن (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) هزيز بن شن بن أفصى بن عبد القيس: مثقف للرماح، من أهل الخط (بفتح الخاء وتشديد الطاء) قال ابن حزم: هزيز، أول من ثقف القنا بالخط. وقال ياقوت: من قرى " الخط " القطيف والعقير وقطر، وجميع هذا في سيف البحرين وعمان، وهي مواضع كانت تجلب إليها الرماح من الهند فتقوَّم وتباع على العرب. وقال ابن بليهد: الخط موضع على الخليج الفارسيّ، عاصمته القطيف. وقال البكري، في غلبة بني عبد القيس على " البحرين ": ونزلت شن بن أفصى (عشيرة صاحب الترجمة) طرفها وأدناها إلى العراق. وقال الزبيدي: هزيز بن شن، تنسب إليه الرماح " الهزيزية " (١) . الهُزَيمي = المعافى بن هزيم
