    أبو بشر البَزَّاز (٠٠٠ - ٢٤٩ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٨٦٣ م) هارون بن حاتم التميمي، أبو بشر البزاز: من قدماء المؤرخين، مقرئ، له اشتغال بالحديث. من أهل الكوفة. أخذ القراآت عنه جماعة. واختلف علماء الحديث في توثيقه، فعده ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال أبو حاتم: أسأل الله السلامة! أما تاريخه، فقال ابن الجزري: جمع " تاريخا " وقال ابن حجر: وقع لنا تاريخه. قلت: وفي دار الكتب الظاهرية بدمشق " أوراق - خ " في " التاريخ " تبدأ بزمن علي بن أبي طالب وتنتهي بآخر الدولة الأموية، كتبت في أوائل المئة السادسة للهجرة، يرجح أنها بقية من تاريخه، لورود اسمه على ظاهرها (٣) .
