نوفل بن خويلد (٠٠٠ - ٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٦٢٤ م) نوفل بن خويلد بن أسد القرشي: من أشد قريش شجاعة وأذى للمسلمين في الجاهلية. كان يدعى " أسد قريش " وهو الّذي قرن أبا بكر الصديق وطلحة ابن عبيد الله، حين أسلما، في حبل. فكانا يسميان " القرينين " لذلك. شهد الوقائع مع قريش. وكان النبي ﷺ يدعو يوم بدر: " اللَّهمّ اكفنا ابن العدوية "وأمه من بني عدي بن خزاعة. قتله علي ابن أبي طالب يوم بدر (٢) .
