    نعمان ثابِت (١٣٢٣ - ١٣٥٦ هـ = ١٩٠٥ - ١٩٣٧ م) نعمان ثابت بن عبد الطيف: ضابط عراقي، شهيد. من أهل بغداد. تخرج فيها بالكلية العسكرية (١٩٢٧) وأولع بالأدب وصنف كتبا أكثرها رسائل بقيت مخطوطة عند أسرته. واستشهد في حادث طائرة عسكرية عراقية قامت للاستطلاع في فضاء السماوة. ومن كتبه " الجندية في الدولة العباسية - ط " و " جواسيس الجبهة أو ذكريات ضابط استخبارات ألماني - ط " ترجمه عن الألمانية و " اليزيديون - خ " مجلدان ضخمان، و " الشطرنج - خ " رسالة، ومثلها " آثار العراق - خ " وله شعر في ديوان " شقائق النعمان - ط " (٢)
