النّعمان السّائح (٠٠٠ - نحو ١٩٨ ق هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٤٣١ م) النعمان بن امرئ القيس بن عمرو اللخمي: ملك الحيرة من قبل الفرس، في الجاهلية. وليها بعد موت أبيه (نحو ٤٠٣ م) وكان شجاعا كثير الغارات، داهية، رفيع الذكر. يعرف بالأعور السائح. غزا الشام مرارا بتحريض الفرس. وهو باني القصرين الشهيرين " الخورنق " و " السدير " ويقال له فارس حليمة. طال عمره، وزهد عند اكتهاله، واستعاض عن رداء الملك بقباء النسك، وانصرف سائحا في البلاد، فانقطع خبره، بعد أن حكم نحوا من ثلاثين سنة (٣) .
