    نجيب ليان (١٣١٦ - ١٣٩٢ هـ = ١٨٩٨ - ١٩٧٢ م) نجيب بن حبيب ليان اللبناني: صحفي كثير النظم. مولده ووفاته بزحلة. كان محررا لجريدة الأحوال (١٩١٧) وجريدة " التقدم " الحلبية (١٩١٨) وأصدر ببيروت " صدى الأحوال " (١٩٢٣) وأنشأ " الاستقلال " (٢٥) وعاد إلى الأحوال (٢٦) ورأس تحرير الاتحاد اللبناني (٣٣) ولسان الحال (- ٣٦ ١٩٣٤) وانتدب لإدارة المطبوعات ومراقبتها (٤٣) وعين مديرا عاما للأنباء بالوكالة (٦٣) وأصدر من تأليفه ديوان " ابن العرائش - ط " و " ملحمة الفوهرر - ط " وله " رواية الشهيد حالت بك " إحدى وقائع الترعة في الحرب العامة الأولى. مثلت في دمشق سنة ١٩١٦ (٣) .
