    ٨٢٩٥- موهب بن رباح الأشعريّ: حليف بن زهرة. ذكره الزّبير بن بكّار عن عمّه مصعب، قال: قال حسّان بن ثابت لموهب: قد كنت أغضب أن أسبّ فسبّني ... عبد المقامة موهب بن رباح «٢» [الكامل] فأجابه موهب بأبيات قال فيها: سمّيتني عبد المقامة كاذبا ... وأنا السّميدع والكميّ سلاحي وأنا امرؤ م الأشعرين مقاتل ... وبنو لؤيّ أسرتي وجناحي [الكامل]فقال حسان: حملت بني تيم فأعصى سفيههم ... وزهرة لا تزداد إلّا تماديا [الطويل] فقال عبد الرحمن بن عوف لحسان: خذ مني ثمن موهب بن رباح واكفف عنه، ففعل. وأخرج الفاكهيّ من طريق الوليد بن جميع، عن عبد الرّحمن بن موهب هذا- قصة ابن جدعان.

    مَوْهَب بن رَبَاح (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) موهب بن رباح الأشعري: شاعر. كان حليف بني زهرة بمكة. بينه وبين حسان بن ثابت مهاجاة. توسط بينهما عبد الرحمن بن عوف، فبذل لحسان مالا، وقال: اكفف عنه، ففعل. ذكره ابن حجر (في الإصابة) وأظن أخباره قبل الإسلام (٢) . ابن مَوْهُوب = محمّد بن موهوب ٥٣٠
