الخَطِير ابن مَمَّاتي (٠٠٠ - ٥٧٧ هـ =..= ١١٨١ م) مهذب بن مينا بن زكريا، أبو الأسعد ابن مماتي: شاعر وزير مصري، ينعت بالخطير. كان هو وأسلافه، من أقباط مصر، وأسلم مع جماعة بينهم ابنه أسعد (انظر ترجمته) في ابتداء ملك السلطان صلاح الدين الأيوبي. وكان أبوه جوهريا، وتقدم هو في الأعمال الديوانية حتى تولى الوزارة وديوان الجيش في عهد الملك الناصر. وفي الخريدة نماذج رقيقة من شعره (١) . ابن مِهْران = أحمد بن الحسين ٣٨١ مهرن (مِيرُن) = آوغست فرديناند
