    ابن طَرَار (٣٠٣ - ٣٩٠ هـ = ٩١٦ - ١٠٠٠ م) المعافي بن زكريا بن يحيى الجريريّ النهرواني، أَبُو الفَرَج ابن طرار: قاض، من الأدباء الفقهاء، له شعر حسن. مولده ووفاته بالنهروان (في العراق) ولي القضاء ببغداد، نيابة. وقيل له الجريريّ لأنه كان على مذهب (ابن جَرير) الطَّبَري. له تصانيف ممتعة في الأدب وغيره، منها (تفسير) في ستة مجلدات، لعله (البيان الموجز عن علوم القرآن المعجز) و (الجليس والأنيس - خ) وللاستاذ محمد محمد مرسي الخولي بالقاهرة (رسالة دكتوراه) في صاحب الترجمة وكتابه (الجليس والأنيس) وعمله في تحقيقه (١) .
