المُطَهَّر بن اسماعيل (١١٣٢ - ١٢٠٧ = ١٧٢٠ - ١٧٩٣ م) المطهر بن إسماعيل بن يحيى، حفيد القاسم بن محمد الحسني: فاضل زيدي. من أها صنعاء، مولدا ووفاة. صنف كتبا، منها (اليسير المعجل) في نصائح الخلفاء والملوك وتاريخهم، و (المناقب العلية) في فضائل أهل البيت. وكان في طبعة قلق يكتب الشئ فيستطرد إلى سواه لإحدى المناسبات. واعتراه في آخر أيامه ذهول (١) .
