    ٨٣٩٩- مرّار بن سلامة العجليّ: الشّاعر. ذكره أبو بشر الآمديّ، وقال: إنه مخضرم جاهليّ إسلاميّ، وذكره المرزبانيّ في «معجم الشّعراء» ، ولم يقل إنه أسلم، بل أنشد له في يوم ذي قار: أسرنا منهم تسعين كهلا ... نقودهم على وضح الطّريق وجالوا كالبغال فأسلمونا ... إلى خيل مسوّمة ونوق [الوافر] ضبطه بكسر أوله والتخفيف.
