ابن شِبْل الدَّوْلَة (٠٠٠ - ٤٦٧ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٧٥ م) محمود بن نصر بن صالح بن مرداس الكلابي، عز الدولة ابن شبل الدولة: أحد الأمراء المرداسيين أصحاب حلب. وليها سنة ٤٥٢ هـ ووجهت إليه حكومة مصر عمه ثمال بن صالح فانتزعها منه (سنة ٤٥٣) وتوفي ثمال بعد عام، فوليها عطية بن صالح، فأغار عليه محمود فامتلكها (سنة ٤٥٤) وقوي أمره، وصفا له جوها، فاستمر إلى أن توفي. كان شجاعا فيه حزم. قال ابن العماد: كان يداري المصريين والعباسيين لتوسط داره بينهما. وقال ابن قاضي شهبة: مدحه ابن حيوس بقصائد (٣) . المَحْمُودي = محمّد سوف ١٣٤٩
