ابن البِبْلاوِي (١٢٩٧ - ١٣٥٠ هـ = ١٨٨٠ - ١٩٣١ م) محمود بن علي بن محمد الببلاوي: فقيه حنفي مصري أزهري. تولى مشيخة بعض المساجد. وتوفي بالقاهرة. له كتب منها (تاريخ الهجرة النبويّة وبدء الإسلام - ط) و (الرحلة الببلاوية - خ) الى المدينة المنورة سنة ١٣٢٧ هـ في دار الكتب (١٨٥٠ ط) و (التاريخ الحسيني ط) و (تاريخ السيدة زينب) وهو ابن شيخ الأزهر المترجم له في الأعلام (٤: ٢٦٥) (٣) .
