السِّرَاج الأُرْمَوي (٥٩٤ - ٦٨٢ هـ = ١١٩٨ - ١٢٨٣ م) محمود بن أبي بكر بن أحمد، أبو الثناء، سراج الدين الأرموي:عالم بالأصول والمنطق، من الشافعية. أصله من (أرمية) من بلاد أذربيجان. قرأ بالموصل. وسكن بدمشق. وتوفي بمدينة (قونية) . له تصانيف، منها (مطالع الأنوار - ط) في المنطق، شرحه كثيرون، و (التحصيل من المحصول - خ) في الأصول، و (لطائف الحكمة - خ) و (شرح الإشارات) لابن سينا، و (شرح الوجيز) للغزالي، في فروع الفقه، و (بيان الحق - خ) منطق وحكمة، و (لباب الأربعين في أصول الدين - خ) في شستربتي (٧٣٥١) (١) .
