البَهَاء الباعُوني (٨٥٧ - ٩١٦ هـ = ١٤٥٣ - ١٥١٠ م) محمد بن يوسف بن أحمد، بهاء الدين الباعوني: فاضل دمشقي. عني بالأدب، ونظم أراجيز في بعض السير، منها (الإشارة الوفية إلى الخصائص الأشرفية - خ) في سيرة الملك الأشرف قايتباي، جعلها ذيلا لتحفة الظرفاء (منظومة عمه محمد ابن أحمد المتوفى سنة ٨٧٠ المتقدمة ترجمته) و (القول السديد الأظرف في سيرة الملك السعيد الأشرف - خ) أرجوزة، و (اللمحة الأشرفية والبهجة السنية - خ) و (بهجة الخلد في نصح الولد - خ) (٢) .
