    حمد الأَسمَر (١٣١٨ - ١٣٧٦ هـ = ١٩٠٠ - ١٩٥٦ م) محمد بن محمد الاسمر: شاعرولد وتعلم بدمياط. ودخل الأزهر (سنة ١٩٢٣) فأحرز شهادة (العالمية) سنة ٣٠ وكان (مصححا) في جريدة السياسة فنشر فيها بعض نظمه. وعين (معاونا) بمكتبة الأزهر، وأمينا لمكتبة المعهد الديني بالإسكندرية. وكان رقيق الطبع، حسن العشرة، ألوفا، طيب النفس. له (تغريدات الصباح - ط) ديوان شعره الأول، و (ديوان الأسمر - ط) في مجلد ضخم جمع فيه كل ما قاله إلى سنة ١٩٥٠ و (بين الأعاصير - ط) بعد وفاته، و (مع المجتمع - ط) من مقالاته في الصحف. توفي بالقاهرة ودفن بدمياط (١) .
