    محمَّد ظافِر المَدَني (١٢٤٤ - ٣٢١ (١ هـ = ١٨٢٩ - ١٩٠٣ م) محمد (ظافِر) بن محمد حسن ابن حمزة ظافر الطرابلسي المغربي المدني: متصوف، من فقهاء المالكية. ولد في مسراتة (بطرابلس الغرب) وسكن المدينة فنسب إليها، واستقر شيخا لزاوية الشاذلية بالآستانة، وتوفي بها. وكان وثيق الاتصال بسلطانها العثماني (عبد الحميد الثاني) يلقنه الذكر، ويُعد من حملة عرشه! له كتب، منها (الأنوار القدسية - ط) في طرق القوم، و (الرحلة الظافرية) و (أقرب الوسائل في شرح منتخبات الرسائل للدرقاوي) في التصوف، و (النور الساطع والبرهان القاطع - ط) في الطريقة الشاذلية (٢) .
