    ابن البَصْري (٠٠٠ - بعد ١٢٠٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - بعد ١٧٩٢ م) محمد (بفتح أوله) بن محمد بن محمد بن عبد الرحمن، أبو عبد الله بن البصري المكناسي: محدث بصريّ الأصل. من أهل (مكناس) مولدا ودارا. قرأ بها وبفاس، وحج (سنة ١٢٠٣ هـ ولما عاد صنف كتابه (إتحاف أهل الهداية والتوفيق والسداد، بما يهمّهم من فضل العلم وآدابه والتلقين وطرق الإسناد - خ) سفر ضخم، بخطه. منه نسخة في الرباط (١٢٨٠ كتاني) وثانية في الزيدانية بمكناس وهو (ثبته) فرغ من تبييضه سنة ١٢٠٦ (١) .
