    زَيْن الخَوَافي (٧٥٧ - ٨٣٨ هـ = ١٣٥٦ - ١٤٣٥ م) محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن علي أبو بكر زين الخوافي:فقيه حنفي من أهل هراة. رحل كثيرا إلى مصر والشام والحجاز وخراسان. وتصوف وحج وتتلمذ له كثيرون ومات بهراة. رأيت في مغنيسا (الرقم ١١٥٢) رسالة باسم (الوصايا) فيها بعض النقص وآخرها (تحررت هذه الوصايا على يد العبد الفقير أبي بكر بن محمد بن علي المدعو زين الخوافي تداركه الله بلطفه الكافي، بالقدس الشريف زادنا الله شرفا بمجاورتها ورزقنا العود إليها وملازمتها، في أوائل جمادى الأولى سنة خمسة وعشرين وثمانمئة. حامدا اللهتعالى إلخ (١)
