    بَدْر الدِّين العَلائي (٠٠٠ - ٩٤٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٥٣٥ م) محمد بن قرقماس السيفي العلائي، بدر الدين: مؤرخ. يُظن أنه صاحب كتاب في (التاريخ) وجد الجزء الخامس منه مخطوطا، وهو مرتب على السنين، جاء في آخر هذا الجزء: (وكان الفراغ من كتابة هذا الكتاب المبارك على يد محمد ابن المرحوم السيفي قرقماس العلائي. في ثامن عشرين ذي الحجة الحرام سنة ثمانية عشر وتسعمائة) (١) . محمد قَشّ = محمد بن يوسف ١٢٣٢ محَّمد قُطَّة العَدَوي = محمد بن عبد الرحمن ١٢٨١
