    ابن الغرِيق (٣٧٠ - ٤٦٥ هـ = ٩٨٠ - ١٠٧٤ م) محمد بن علي بن محمد بن عبيد الله بن عبد الصمد ابن الخليفة المهتدي باللَّه محمد ابن الواثق العباسي، أبو الحسين الخطيب المعروف بابن الغريق وبابن المهتدي باللَّه: سيد بني العباس في زمانه وشيخهم. كان يقال له (راهب بني هاشم) لدينه وعبادته. وهو من ثقات رجال الحديث. له كتاب (الفوائد) أو (الفوائد المخرجة من الأصول - خ) حديث، في التيمورية. توفي ببغداد (١) .
