محمَّد عَسَل (١٢٩٦ - ١٣٥٤ هـ = ١٨٧٩ - ١٩٣٥ م) محمد عسل (بك) : زراعي مصري. من أهل القاهرة. تعلم بها، واختير مدرسا للعربية بجامعة كمبردج سنة ١٩٠٤ فأقام إلى ١٩١١ وتلقى في هذه المدة علوم الزراعة. وعاد إلى مصر، فكان مفتشا بوزارة المعارف، فرئيسا للقلم الإفرنجي، فمفتشا للتعليم الزراعي.وترجم كتابا في (الكيمياء الزراعية) كان يدرس في مدرسة الزراعة العليا، وضع فيه مصطلحات علمية (زراعية) باللغة العربية، تداولها بعده كتّاب مصر في هذا العلم (١) .
