    ابن حُرَيْوَة (٠٠٠ - ١٢٤١ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٨٢٥ م) محمد بن صالح بن هادي السماوي الصنعاني، المعروف بابن حريوة: حكيم يماني من مجتهدي الزيدية. وحريوة لقب أبيه. نشأ في صنعاء وبرع في العلوم الرياضية والطبيعية والإلهية، وتفوق في الفقه وأصوله والحديث. وأوغر عليه صدر المهدي (عبد الله بن أحمد) فضرب بالجريد، ونفي إلى (كمران) ثم اعتقل مدة في (الحديدة) واستفتى فيه المهدي بعض الفقهاء فأفتوا بقتله فضربت عنقه، وصلب مدة، ودفن في بندر الحديدة. له (شرح التجريد) لنصير الدين الطوسي، و (منتهى الإلمام في أحاديث الأحكام) و (الغطمطم الزخار) في مباحث علمية ودينية، مجلدان (٢) .
