    سعيد العُريان (١٣٢٣ - ١٣٨٤ هـ = ١٩٠٥ - ١٩٦٤ م) محمد سعيد العريان. أديب منكبار الكتاب في مصر. ولد في قرية (محلة حسن) بمحافظة الغربية، وتخرج بدار العلوم في القاهرة (١٩٣٠) وتنقل في التدريس الى سنة (٤٢) وتقدم في الأعمال الإدارية بوزارة المعارف وشارك في تحرير كثير من المجلات الأدبية. وصنف كتبا مطبوعة، منها (كيف أختار زوجتي) بحث عاطفي. و (قطر الندى) و (على باب زويلة) و (شجرة الدر) و (من حولنا) و (بنت قسطنطين) كلها قصص تاريخية، و (قصة الكفاح بين العرب والاستعمار - ط) و (ألف يوم فوق الأنقاض - ط) وعمل في تحقيق بضعة كتب من التراث (١)
