الإِمَام محمَّد (١٠١٠ - ١٠٧٩ هـ = ١٦٠١ - ١٦٦٨ م) محمد بن الحسن بن القاسم، أبو يحيى: فقيه أصولي أديب، من أمراء اليمن. ولي صعدة ونواحيها. ثم اتسعت ولايته، فكان يتردد في الإقامة بين ذمار وصنعاء. وصنف كتبا، منها (ذوب الذهب بمحاسن من شاهدت بعصري من أهل الأدب - خ) و (سبيل الرشاد إلى معرفة رب العباد) في علم الكلام، و (تسهيل مرقاة الوصول إلى علم الأصول - خ) في التيمورية (٣٨٢ مجاميع / ٥) . وتوفي بصنعاء. ولم يل الإمامة، وهو من بيتها، وكان يلقب بها (٢) .
